About Samurai Champloo
Samurai Champloo is an anime series by famous director Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bepop) and studio Manglobe Inc. The series's visual and musical styles are its signature elements as it blends historical Edo period backdrops with modern styles and references, most importantly elements of hip hop culture, rap and break dancing. But don't let this scare you away if you're not interested in any of those, Samurai Champloo brings it all together in a delightfully cracky way and offers entertainment at its best.
The story revolves around three very unlikely companions: Mugen, a fierce animal-like swordsman, Jin, a traditional calm samurai and Fuu, a girl searching a samurai from her past who "smells like sunflowers". After Fuu saves the lives of the two afore-mentioned vagabonds, they embark on a mission to find the said samurai - if they don't kill each other first, that is.

About Episode 11
The episode in question revolves mainly around Jin and deepens his character through a tragic love story (because there are never too many of those). The first five minutes were enough to make me fall in love with the episode as it resembles Jin's character in all the good ways: it's quiet and mild-mannered but with deep feelings.
